Author/artist reveals! Bonus fic! End credits!
25th-Jun-2012 11:06 am
The authors and artists are now revealed! The master list is now updated.

Authors and artists, you may now cross-post as you please. If you do so, you can also leave a comment here with your links, and I'll add those links to the master list. If you choose to post meta about your fic or the process, you can link that here as well, and I'll add it to the list unless you indicate I shouldn't.

Artists, if you have modified final versions of art, please let the authors know the links. Authors, if you need help updating your links to art, add me to the AO3 fic as a coauthor and send me the updated link, and I'll add that link for you before removing myself as coauthor.

The only person to post guesses was tridget, who got every single one correct. Congratulations!
No one submitted anything formally for the "bonus round". However, the collection includes an extra fic that was turned in a few hours after I announced the closure of the collection: Anicient Ghosts by chimeradragon. I've revealed this work with the rest of the collection, so there's one more story this year than originally announced!
This was my first year as mod of anything, and it's certainly been exciting. There were definitely mistakes, confusion, problems, and disagreements, but I think everything worked out in the end, and I can emphatically state it's been a learning experience.

I want to thank every single author, artist, and co-mod for participating and for having patience with me. My particular thanks go to those who provided pinch-hits, created art for multiple works, fought through complications with my handling or with AO3, or kept me informed early of statuses. Thank you!

Thank *you* for organizing this.

Woohoo! I was trying to increase my hit rate for guessing and I was shooting for 100% this time. Actually, it is not so much guesses as a spreadsheet obsessively filled with various colored marks and highlighted boxes. LOL

Anyway, thanks to all the authors, artists, mod and co-mod for keeping the tradition and the fandom alive.

Thank you for running this! Only sorry I wasn't able to join in the artwork side this year due to RL - but maybe if there is one next year?!

Thank you very much for running it this year! I'm sorry I had to drop out, but I enjoyed the stories and the art, and I hope there'll be another chance next year :)

Another thank you to all who contributed. There can never be enough SGA.

Um, just out of curiosity what is the genficathon's definition of gen? I thought that canon sexuality was intrinsic to that definition? Or is it that the hot n' heavy isn't a plot point?

Please see the discussion here. As you may notice, there isn't a crystal-clear definition of "gen" either in the comm guidelines or amongst the various members. (As for "canon sexuality", I'm not entirely sure what you mean by that. If you mean canon level-of-sexual-activity, that would seem to rule out gen entirely for certain series; if you mean character orientation, that would be completely irrelevant to the gen-ness of a story. But it's possible you mean something else entirely by that phrasing.)

It's been fun.

Thank you for all your hard work, I think you've done a great job.

thanks for putting up with me!

do you want the art for that last fic - ancient ghosts?
27th-Jun-2012 03:08 am (UTC)
If you have it, sure! You can post it straight to the collection, and if you do so I'll reveal it as soon as I can. You can also announce it at the associated-works post to make sure folks know about it. I'm not listed as a coauthor, so I can't add links to the work, but I can also send the link to the author by email (unless you already have her email address, in which case you can certainly send the link directly if you like).

And thank you!
